Maintenance Requests
In the case that something breaks, does not work, or just generally needs to be replaced, and is not an emergency, a work order may be submitted. Work orders may take 3-4 days to be completed depending on priority. If a work order needs to be submitted and is an emergency please contact the Housing Front Desk if it is during normal business hours or the RA on duty for your building if it is after hours.
When filling out a work request in the student portal please be sure to be as detailed as possible, this will help not only the housing team report out the information, but it will also assist the facilities teams in planning their approach to help correct the problem as quick as possible.
Examples of the detail needed when submitting a work request include detailed notes on what the issue is you are experiencing, exact locations of the problem (i.e., under the kitchen sink, to the left of the main entrance, on the right-hand wall of my room after entering the door). Just remember the more information you can provide the quicker facilities can correct the issue.
