Communication Standards
Campus Computing owns and operates its own Cisco Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone system. VoIP telephones work by sending voice communications over digital computer networks (instead of traditional analog phone networks). The VoIP phone system provides additional features to subscribers while reducing telecommunication costs to the university.
CISCO IP PHONE STANDARDS
Cisco IP Phones are full-featured handsets that provide programmable lines and feature buttons along with four interactive buttons to guide you through various call features and functions. Cisco IP Phones must be purchased through Campus Computing using the Communication Services Request Form.

Warranties
All new phones and ATA devices come with a one-year warranty. Warranties include full maintenance, repair, or replacement of the unit and supporting cabling, software, and firmware upgrades and patching. Purchaser must retain proof of purchase and purchase date to be eligible for warranty service.
Cisco ATA Standard
In order to send and receive faxes, a Cisco Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) is required. An ATA allows analog devices (such as faxes) to communicate over an IP network.
