Maintenance
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance department is responsible for the upkeep of real property, structural, electrical, and plumbing systems of more than 1.2 million square feet of buildings at the University.
The Maintenance department’s areas of responsibility are:
- Elevator Maintenance
- Environmental Systems (Air Conditioning & Heating)
- Fire Alarm Systems
- General & Preventative Maintenance
- Keys & Locks
- Pest Control
KEYS AND LOCKSMITHING
A Key Authorization Form is required if additional keys need to be issued by the Key Shop.
NOTE: Card key services, to include the authorization form, are not handled by Facilities
Services. For more information on how to obtain a card key please contact Campus Computing.
GOLF CART USAGE
USF employees and students conducting official university business are eligible to borrow a golf cart from Facilities Services. To borrow a cart, submit a work request a minimum of three (3) days prior to the date you need the cart. You can also reserve a Golf Cart from the Regional Chancellor's Office. If you are in need of a four-passenger cart or a six-passenger cart, contact Lisa Laubach at 727-873-4744.
MOVING ITEMS
Facilities Services personnel are not allowed to move furniture, equipment or boxes due to injuries and past Workers Compensation claims associated with Maintenance Technicians and Custodians.
