Automated External Defibrillators

The University of South Florida (USF) is committed to ensuring the health and safety of its students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are maintained on the St Petersburg campus for Safety and Compliance. This device provides an immediate response to individuals who, while using USF facilities, might experience or appear to be experiencing a cardiac arrest.

Policies

The intent of this policy is to provide oversight for the maintenance and use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) on USF campuses and to provide information about the responsibilities of various USF offices and/or personnel.

Training

USF St. Petersburg Safety and Compliance provides familiarization to the AEDs.
