The St. Patrick's Day-themed event featured festivities, Irish-inspired food, music and beers celebrating the Brewing Arts Program. The first Bulls and Brews by the Bay helped the university provide an additional $30,000 in student scholarships.

USF receives gift of more than $2 million to support on-campus stadium and brewing arts program

A $2.2 million gift will benefit the university’s new on-campus stadium and a growing brewing arts program. The donation comes from Joey Redner, the founder of Cigar City Brewing in Tampa, and his wife, Jennifer.

Joe Askren, a professor in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at USF Sarasota-Manatee, has been named the new director of the Brewing Arts program. Launched in 2015 at USF St. Petersburg, the online program prepares participants for a successful career in the craft brewing industry.
