The University of South Florida and Florida Holocaust Museum to house papers and personal collection of Elie Wiesel, Holocaust survivor and Nobel Laureate
The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity named the University of South Florida and the Florida Holocaust Museum as the permanent home of the papers and artifacts of Elie Wiesel, a Holocaust survivor who became an esteemed humanitarian, writer and recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.

Key legislative priority would make USF a model for supporting veteran and military-connected students
USF seeks to strengthen the support and services it provides to veterans, military-connected students and first responders through a new request for funding in this year’s legislative session. The funds would lead to new or upgraded Office of Veteran Success facilities on all three USF campuses.

New director named for online brewing arts program
Joe Askren, a professor in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at USF Sarasota-Manatee, has been named the new director of the Brewing Arts program. Launched in 2015 at USF St. Petersburg, the online program prepares participants for a successful career in the craft brewing industry.

Middle, high school and college students were celebrated for overcoming adversity, fighting for social justice and lifting up their communities.

History Harvest uncovers thought-provoking stories in the community
When Helen Sweatt submitted an old photo of herself to USF St. Petersburg’s History Department, its historical significance initially went unnoticed. The image was part of the first-ever History Harvest, where community members brought in their family heirlooms and participated in a conversation with students about the object's significance.
