Driving change: Mo-Bull Nurse Medical Clinic delivers healthcare

By Cliff McBride, University Communications and Marketing

In 2023, the USF Health College of Nursing became the proud owner of a 38-foot-long RV. What may have been a curious acquisition to some quickly became a state-of-the-art mobile unit providing healthcare needs to communities throughout Tampa Bay.

Dubbed the Mo-Bull Nurse Medical Clinic, it has enhanced healthcare accessibility for underserved populations while educating the next generation of nurses. The mobile unit includes two exam rooms, a laboratory and diagnostic center with safe vaccine storage, and 5G cellular service.

More than 1,800 patients across 13 locations in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties have benefitted from this nurse-managed medical clinic on wheels.
