On the St. Petersburg campus, the nursing facility houses a simulation lab that is outfitted with ten beds, each with low-fidelity mannequins and other technology meant to simulate the inpatient environment students will encounter at clinical partner locations. Facilities also include technology for lab and didactic courses.

The Accelerated Second Degree enables graduates to take the NCLEX-RN nurse licensure examination, and graduates of the program consistently exceed state and national averages in first-attempt pass rates. Graduates make an impact in hospitals in the Tampa Bay region, throughout Florida, and beyond. In addition to the hospital setting, career opportunities also exist in research, education, community and public health, government service, international health, and more. The degree also opens doors for the pursuit of graduate studies in nursing – MSN, DNP and PhD.
