Welcome to Student Success Advocacy! Success Advocates are here to support you with personalized care and resources from your first day at USF to graduation.
Success Advocates work individually with undergraduate students who may be facing barriers and review their available options. We collaborate with academic departments, colleges, and university personnel when working with students, so they may receive the most robust support.
Marketa Whitehead
Marketa serves our third and fourth year cohorts, and transfer students.
Services provided by Academic Advocates include:
- Proactive student outreach to offer academic support and address goals of persistence, progression, and timely completion of degree
- Response to individual student inquiries and/or referrals from faculty and staff
- Individual student appointments for academic success and guidance navigating policies
and procedures
- Develop semester goals
- Time management
- Personal motivation
- Academic Success Plans tailored to student need
- Coordinated care to connect students to campus resources and services
